Is the following sentence correct and natural?

Read the specific books and write down the critical points to remind yourself sometime to help you remember them.
See above. As it stands, "specific" sounds very odd there. The context might make it clearer but it strikes me as probably superfluous. If you're talking about a specific list of books that's already been referred to, then "the/those books" suffices.
