Hi,
I'm new on the forum and finding my way around. I hope I'm in the right spot for my question.
Is there an expression for somebody who likes to collect things, in the sense that he doesn't thrown them out, 'is case it may be useful one day in the future?'
To clarify [maybe], in Dutch we say somebody is a hamster, you know the animal that collects the food in its cheeks –*however, I don't believe this is the correct English expression.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

A person who collects a lot of things is called a hoarder.
