That is an abysmally awful question! I'd probably answer as if it meant: What are some sociolinguistic principles that apply to English-speakers. I can't think of many that don't also apply to other languages though.
You could just write about basic sociolinguistic principles that you've no doubt learnt, and give examples from English, or from English-speaking researchers like Grice, or Austin, or Labov etc.

I agree with Raymott about the quality of the question and would take the same approach to answering it.
