How can I translate this? What is the meaning of "So many"?

As my life flashes before my eyes
I'm wondering will I ever see another sunrise?
So many won't get the chance to say goodbye
But it's too late to think of the value of my life

So many won't get the chance to say goodbye
But it's too late to think of the value of my life

So many (other) people.

Thank you very much!
This is from the same song:

Said I'm terrified but I'm not leaving.

What "said" means? Why it is in the past tence?

In longman there is "say":
Code:
used to express surprise, or to get someone's attention so that you can tell them something:
Say, haven't I seen you before somewhere?

Code:
And you can see my heart beating
You can see it through my chest.
[B]Said[/B] I'm terrified but I'm not leaving.
I know that I must pass this test
So, just pull the trigger

It's a contraction of "I said". Do you understand now?
