Does it make sense to say a wife slept on his husband's chest or is it strange?

Is this okay?

Her husband was shot by the guerillas later that night. She didn't even have the energy to mourn, to cry. She just wanted to sleep and wake up on his chest one more time.
 
Yes, it's okay.

It does sound a little uncomfortable, though. But as we say in the US, different strokes for different folks!

It's OK, although of course it would probably be only her head on his chest.

I have removed "the" before "guerrillas" because, in this post, there has been no previous mention of them. Without further context, he was simply shot by guerrillas.
