Why is sic used in the above sentence? Is any mistake or oddity coming from Jürgen Klopp's statement ?

Of course, playing three games in five days doesn't preclude him from having played five games in six days - so it's not necessarily inaccurate. Though he would have had to play two games on the sixth day.
