How do I describe THIS position?

She was lying with her knees raised/bent/elevated/???

She's lying on her back with her knees raised.

Thanks. By the way, to avoid being repetitive, may I replace on her back with in a supine position in some sentences of this kind?

I wouldn't. A lot of people will have no idea what that means.

If you look at a basic source like Wikipedia, they start talking about the supine position for surgery, and go on to discuss medical issues throughout the entry- I'd leave the term for more specialist contexts. And I must confess that I was glad that they reminded me what the opposite was.
