Hello.

If a person is really focused on her phone and doesn't notice what's going on around her, can I say she is "lost in it"?

Is this good?

She was lost in her phone when her son arrived home from school. Something terrible had happened to the boy but she didn't notice it as he staggered to his room, crying.
