She introduced Sally to me, and then she _______ us on our blind date.
a. accompanied
b. diminished
c. reproduced
d. sealed

I have several points confusing.

1. a blind date is for two people, so accompanied can not be selected.
2. diminished means decreased, does " diminish ... on " mean not appear?
3. reproduced means recreated, seems not a good option.
4. sealed us on is good for the sentence?

thanks for explaining

I'd choose d too. In the context, sealed means fixed.

Remember to begin a sentence with a capital letter and end it with a full-stop,
Use quotation marks or italics to quote words.

Only accompanied works grammatically for me, but that would make no sense here. Where did you find this item?

The only grammatically possible answer is A. I suppose in a culture where a man and a woman aren't allowed to be alone together, (unless they're married or related), it's feasible that the person who introduced those two people might also tag along on their date, as a sort of chaperone. I'd be surprised if such a meeting were referred to as a "blind date" in such a culture though.

Please ensure you answer 5jj's question. You must provide the source and author of any text you quote if you didn't write it yourself.

in an online book.

There are a lot of online books. We're not going to search the internet to find it.

When you read something in an online book and you decide to ask us about it, please make a note of the title and author and if possible provide a link to it.

The only possible answer that works for me is A. If you consider the possibility that it's a double blind date, then it makes more logical sense as well.

Often in a double blind date, two of the people already know each other, so perhaps Sally is either the narrator's friend or perhaps Sally is the date for the narrator's friend.
