[Grammar] she doesn't eat/she isn't eating

Hello!

Can we use the present simple and the present continuous interchangeably in this case, please?

"My (female) dog is not feeling really well She is sleeping/sleeps a lot and isn't eating/doesn't eat much"'.

Both are possible, but the present continuous is more likely; it suggests the limited duration of the feeling.
