Hi All,

If someone could please help me with the following sentence:

At the cutting edge of research, scientists are developing new sunscreens of both __ and internal varieties.

1.Polar
2.Topical -- I think it must be Tropical (might be a printing mistake)
3.territorial
4.atmospheric
5.Regional

My choice was atmospheric , I was wrong.

Could anyone please tell me what could it be.

Thanks,
Aishwarya

Oh allright.

Thanks a ton.

Just remember that "topical" creams etc are ones that go on "top" of your skin! :-D

What does one do with an internally applied sun screen? I've never worried about my ear canals or tonsils getting too much sun! I have to guess they mean some sort of a pill form that somehow protects your skin??

Ray - where are you? You know anything about this?

Some years ago they marketed some pills that were meant to build up your skin's resistance to the sun, but I haven't heard of them since- the natural way does seem to be topical.

Ray - where are you? You know anything about this?
I'm here, but I know nothing about it. The post does say, "cutting edge of research" - maybe not even close to market yet.
