Dear Teacher,

I could not decide on the following question. If choice B is wrong, is it because the word "either" should have replaced "any" in the rest of the given sentence? I would appreciate if you could please help me. Thanks and regards.

______, but he isn't satisfied with any of them.

A) Our CEO has exactly three secretaries
B) Marian has interviewed only two applicants so far

______, but he isn't satisfied with any of them.

A) Our CEO has exactly three secretaries
B) Marian has interviewed only two applicants so far

rings a bell?

Oh yes, it does. I really did not notice the gender behind that name. What if, however, the word "he" was "She"? Thanks and regards.

If "he" were changed to "she", "any" would have to be changed to "either" to make it correct.
