Although I have won many prizes in the contest of drawing and painting, there is still room for improvement. I’m filled with ambition to become a successful artist in painting, illustration, and writing. It gives me a sense of achievement and makes me happy when I engage in these activities. I will pursue my goals to realize my dreams.

I'd use competitions rather than contests. It's simply personal preference.
