Semantic help with an unusual issue / topic

An unusual one, perhaps, that I can't get my head around.

I placed an online football bet, as I had a freebie and wanted to give it a go, and I thought I had won, but the bet was given as lost but I couldn't understand why.

This is the bet


Bayern Munich & Barcelona Matches Multi Match:

At Least 1 Goal In Each Half & Each Team Over 1 Corner, All In Each Match

I read this very simply as.

At least 1 goal in each half:
Each team over 1 corner:
All in each match:

I contacted support and they told me the bet means that each team must have over 1 corner in each half not over one corner in the entire game.

It does not say each team to have a corner in each half, but my bet was settled as lost because of that, otherwise I had a winning bet.

Surely the use of the conjunctive 'and' after the goal part of the bet denotes a new context.

Their other bets were phrased like this 'Each Team At Least 1 Corner In Each Half In Each Match' This is clearly different to me.

Am I wrong? I just didn't want to get taken advantage of because it's not clear.

It's not very well phrased, but I would go for the idea that there had to be one goal in each half - team irrelevant, so 2-0 would be fine - and each team had to have a corner in both halves. However, it's badly written- it's hard to extract a meaning from all in each half. Mind you, this kind of dispute is more a legal one than a language one.

It says "over 1 corner". Maybe they mean more than one corner?? Actually the whole thing is questionable. Give your money to you is the last thing such companies want to do.
Another time, I would clarify each detail before betting.

I sympathise strongly, OkLang. I would have interpreted it in the same way as you did.

As you say, because of the position of in each half and the conjunctive &, I think their argument is extremely weak.
