How does one use "Say" correctly? I tend to use "Said", perhaps too much.
"He said there's a toilet on the left."
would it be possible to say "He says there's a toilet on th left."? Considering the fact that if you were to ask him again, I'm sure he would say the same thing.
"Mike says there's a nice bar up the road."
"Mike said there's a nice bar up the road."
