Hello.

It was a very long journey. I was very tired after travelling/being on a train for 36 hours.

I answered riding and I'm trying to see if it was correct or not.
I googled it over the Internet and found some pharases including ride on a train, so it seems to be correct, doesn't it?

What of the choices is considered as more formal/informal?

I would be grateful if you would correct the grammatical errors in the post (if any).

Thanks, Alex.
