Hi
1. A church is a place
a. you pray in.:tick:
b. you pray.:cross:
c. where you pray.:tick:

2. A rose garden is a garden
a. where you grow roses.:tick:
b. you grow roses.:cross:
c. where roses grow.:tick:

Could you kindly tell me if the following alternatives can be correct as well?
1. A church is a place where you pray in.
2. A rose garden is a garden where you grow roses in.
3. A rose garden is a garden you grow roses in.

Thanks a million.

1. A church is a place where you pray in. :cross:
2. A rose garden is a garden where you grow roses in. :cross:
3. A rose garden is a garden you grow roses in. :tick:
'Where' has the idea of 'in which', so an additional 'in' is incorrect. 'Which/that', even if omitted. needs 'in' in such contexts.
