Regret to do or regret doing?

Hello everyone! Let's discuss the difference between Regret to do and Regret doing? Could you please help me a little with that! :roll:

"I regret doing that" not "I regret to do that"
"I regret to have to tell you..." present indication.
"I regret telling/having told you..." past indication.
It depends on context.

If you feel regret afterwards, it's regret + ing.
If you feel regret before you do it, it's regret + infinitive.
