Does this sentence make sense?
I'm not sure if I can say "reasons such as that..." If it's incorrect, please tell me a correct way to say it. Thank you.

When you are late for a class, you need to tell your teacher the reasons such as that you overslept.

When you are late for a class, you need to tell your teacher the reason, such as that you overslept.
You can say that if you put a comma after reason. And there's usually only one reason.
The amended sentence is correct.

I agree with Raymott, but the sentence reads better to me without "that".
