Hello!

Could I say so:

We could not be someone else.

My doubts are:

we - plural form.
someone - singular.
Are they match each other?
Or how can I match them by rephrasing the sentence?

If this sentence is correct, what is better 'someone' or 'somebody'?
'Someone' seems to me to be "more singular" as 'somebody' because of 'one'.;-)

Thanks...

I think you can't, your sentence should be "Each of us could not be someone else".
"Someone" and "somebody" are the same.
Thank you !

We can't be anyone but (or except) who we are.
