May I know the tense using after 'respective'?

e.g.
The respective Board of Directors
has (or have?) approved the new project.

Since respective is an adjective, it would not usually be used to determine which verb to use for subject verb agreement. However, respective breaks a group into individuals, so have is the correct choice here.
