I wonder whether we must put a comma after the year in the following sentence or not:
June 2, 2005, was the year we first met.
My best regards
 
"June 2, 2005" is not a year. It's a date. "2005" on its own is the year.

2005 was the year we first met.
June 2nd, 2005 was the date we first met.

I wouldn't put a comma after 2005.
