What does "pull out" means in terms of traffic?

I know you have provided that information in the phrasal verb section, but I am still not cleat on that.Does that mean you have to come out of the lane you are in or does that mean that one is trying to come back in that lane one was previously in.

Thanks

Often, "pull out" refers to leaving a parking space and entering the road/street.

Or coming out of a secondary road, parking lot, etc. onto another road.
