Pronunciation Help — hustle

Hello All,
I was learning vocabulary and found word as "Hustle" which pronunciation as "Husul" why "t" is silent ? how we know silent characters in English. It will be good if you provide some link that guides me.

Similarly, the "t" is silent in "castle", "rustle", "bustle" and "thistle".

The challenge is thinking of a '-stle,-sten' word that does pronounce the 't'.

Another way of checking the pronunciation of a word is to use Forvo. Choose English from the list of languages then type the word you're searching for into the search box. You will then get a list of recordings to listen to. Each one shows the English variant spoken by the person who recorded the word.
