'probably' and 'properly'

Can you help me to distinguish these two words 'probably' and 'properly' when speaking?
They seem to be the same in pronounciation.

They are not at all the same in pronunciation.

You may be hearing people who pronounce "probably" very lazily. It can come out sounding like "probly" or even "prolly". However, even those two should sound shorter than "properly" which generally clearly has three syllables ("probly" and "prolly" only have two syllables).

The main difference when they are both pronounced correctly is that you should hear/see the two "b" sounds in "probably" clearly. The lips will come together both times, parting in between them to pronounce the "a".
