[Grammar] Present Continuous + gerund?

Dear Teacher,

Is this sentence correct?: "Ann is going running."

Is it future with gerund (going to+verb+ing)?

It's correct, but I would not agree with the analysis- I would say it is the present progressive + gerund. Going to would be followed by an infinitive/base form in most cases.
