Hello.

Is it wrong to use "positive characters"?
"She always plays positive characters and is recognised by her roles."

Be aware that positive is overused and jargony. Yankee is right. For that sentence, use something else.

I checked the website but I couldn't choose a word. What is the most used word in that context?

What website?

We don't know the context yet. It's your sentence. What do you mean by "positive character"? Optimistic? Virtuous? Upbeat? Helpful? Plucky? Friendly? Do you mean she always plays a good guy and is never a villain?

The one suggested by Yankee. Yes, the person always plays good guys and never villains. I can't provide more context.

That's perfect. You could also say she always plays the hero type.

is recognised by her roles

This doesn't work for me- is known/famous for her roles would.
