Position of present participle

A howling wolf jumped.

Could I shift the "howling" to the end of the sentence without changing the sentence meaning, just as:

A wolf jumped howling. thanks
 
A wolf jumped, howling.
It would probably be OK if you put a comma, after 'jumped'.
