This phrase ("Please, stop telling any more lies.") came up in a rephrasing exercise with a student, and though it sound strange to me (and so does "Please, stop telling more lies."), I can't really explain why so I'm not sure if it is wrong or it's just me.

I would not say either of those.

I'd be more likely to say "Stop lying". or just "Don't lie".

This The phrase no bracket here "Please, stop telling any more lies no full stop here" no bracket here came up in a rephrasing exercise with a student, and though it sound strange to me (and so does "Please, stop telling more lies no full stop here"), I can't really explain why so I'm not sure if it is wrong or it's just me.
Please note my changes above. When quoting a full sentence in quotation marks, only use the closing punctuation mark if the surrounding sentence has also finished.
I don't like either of them. I'd use either 5jj's suggestions or "Please don't tell lies".
