Please help me analyze the structure of the sentence.

After parting, dreams possessed me

　　 And we sat in the verandah and you sang the sweet old air.
　　Then I woke, with no one near me save the moon still shining on,
　　And lighting up dead petals which like you have passed and gone.

It's an English version of a Chinese poem in Tang Dynasty. I just don't know the structure of the last two lines. Please help me clarify it.

Then I woke, with no one near me save the moon still shining on,
　　And lighting up dead petals which like you have passed and gone.

You could substitute "save" with "except" and place "which was" before "still shining." Does that help you to see what's going on?

"Then I woke, with no one near me except the moon, which was still shining on and lighting up dead petals, which, like you, have passed and gone."

I added some commas for additional clarity. Incidentally, the entire "except"/"save"-phrase modifies "no one" and has been moved past "near me."

"Then I woke, with [no one except the moon, which was still shining on and lighting up dead petals, which, like you, have passed and gone] near me."

The basic sentence is: "Then I awoke with nothing except the moon near me."
