Have I made any mistakes? This text is just an exercise, which I wrote in one go.
Peter was brought up in a wealthy family, lacking nothing. He would not understand how pampered he was until he started travel around the country and saw how other people struggled to pay their bills and to live a decent life. While he quarrelled with his parents whether they would buy him a Porsche or BMW to his birthday, his peers were happy if they got a new pair of shoes. Later when he went into politics and wanted to help the poor, he was disheartened when people who he supported insulted him and viewed him as their enemy.
This came as a revelation. They were beyond help. Shackled in their ignorance and subservience, they would always be exploited. Instead of fighting for their rights and dignity, they would project their hatred and frustration towards those who told them the truth. They were no better than cattle waiting to be slaughtered. Peter believed that if he would stand in front of them and explain what the powerful were doing to them, they would trample him to death.
