[Grammar] Period, semi-colon or comma?

Could you please advise on the correct punctuation in the following sentence?

The subsequent presentation and report were of outstanding quality";" receiving praise for discussing both the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen approach.

A comma.

If you use a period or semi-colon, you must have a complete sentence (independent clause) afterwards.
