All companies want to pay less salary to employees, but they want more output from them. So overtime is a very useful tool to show your boss that you are working so hard. It helps to earn overtime pay, also to get promoted.

I'm not sure if the underlined is awkward.

Lower salaries

They want to pay less and get more. (Who wouldn't?)

If, for some reason, you really want to use "less", you can start with "All companies/bosses want to pay their employees less ...".

Perhaps:

It pays to work overtime. You get paid more, and your boss notices.

Thanks a lot. By the way, where are my three recent threads gone related new home environment topic? Afer finding them gone, I reposted them but then gone again. I'm so embarrassed!

They are not 'gone'. They are shown as 'deleted'.

When you posted them you already had three other unanswered threads waiting to be dealt with, so I deleted them for 'flooding'.

At the time I am writing this you have no other unanswered threads, so I have undeleted them.

Please remember: when you want your own writing to be edited or proofread, please post it in Editing & Writing Topics.

I wouldn't say they want to pay their employees less.

You should have told me that you had done so, otherwise there is no way to find out the reason. I'm still so embarrassed.

Regularly check Quick Links, then Subscribed Threads, in case your threads have been moved.

As I've said before: when you want your own writing to be edited or proofread, please post it in Editing & Writing Topics.
