Hello.

(1) Yes, these words can be very confusing.

(2) Kindly remember that to pass is a verb:

Passed = the past and the past participle:

When I take a walk, I always pass (= go by) a library.

Yesterday when I took my walk, I passed (= went by) a car accident.

Mona is a good student in your class. She always passes

(= gets good marks on) the examinations.

Many visitors have passed (= entered) through the gates at Disneyland.

(3) Remember that past is often a preposition:

When I take a walk, I always walk past (= in front of)

a library.

The bus went past me without stopping. Now I have to wait for

another bus!!!

6:30 p.m. = half past (= after) six.

Thank you.
