Could any one please help me here?

Krashen believed that "input" must have been complemented by "output" that gives credit to the role of learner's production; however providing significat amount of output in language classrooms is too scarce; How can we provide such amount of output that gives the highly production in our language classrooms?

Krashen was known for his Comprehensive Input Hypothesis whereby output was not necessary. A person could learn while not speaking at all (a silent period) as long as there was appropriate input.
Swain (1985) extended this with her Comprehensible Output Hypothesis. She determined from immersion studies in Canada (English-speaking students being taught all their subjects in French, but not having to reply in French), that learners did not achieve full productive competence in French.

Krashen has been very influential in language teaching, but he seems to get a lot of credit for ideas he didn't believe in.
