Yes, they are an excellent resource.It will be worth seeking out a new edition of Shakespeare's plays with the original text on the left-hand pages and a modern version on the right, which I was looking at recently in Borders.
They would have been a godsend for me in my schooldays.

Yes, I could you give you hundreds of references on Othello. But you could also find them too by doing a web search - perhaps not as easily, but it's your assignment.
