***NOT A TEACHER***Yes, the "correct" verb here in the States is to "perform" a medical operation. In regular conversation, Americans may say "When is Dr. Smith doing the operation?" or "When is Dr. Smith operating?" But Americans NEVER say, "When is Dr.Smith making the operation?"Is there any difference btw DO and MAKE an operation?
