One of the proudest moments in my life has been / was / is, after months of waiting and doubt, finally qualifying for the soccer team.

Which verb should I use?

Thanks.

I'd go for "is".

If you are talking about qualifying many years ago, then 'was' is possible.

Whenever the qualifying was, you may hear 'is', but I think that 'has been' is the most natural.
