What's difference between these two sentences? Is the second possible in this sense?

1. Come on, tell the truth. Did you break it on purpose or was it an accident?
2.
Come on, speak the truth. Did you break it on purpose or was it an accident?

I don't find #2 natural at all. #1 is fine.

My personal view is that 'speak the truth' is rarely used in situations such as Kharkhun's. i.e.. as an an imperative
