Hi. Which one is correct? Why?
1. The best thing for your health is not smoking.
2. The best thing for your health is not to smoke.

Both the gerund and the infinitive forms are correct.

Both are grammatical, but the first would be more natural inverted "Not smoking is the best thing for your health".
Consider also this similar sentence: "The best thing for your health is to stop smoking".
