nominalization in legal discourse

The problem I encountered is how to classify nominals? I read a lot to the point I feel lost.Can someone help me with some reading materials or with some ideas.
 
I know about nominal classification in philosophy/linguistics, but not a lot about law. Can you elucidate the question? Which nominals are you trying to classify, and why?
