"This fear of dying scared me more than I've ever been scared in my life. It caused me to conclude with determination, "Either I get the answers, or I'll take off this earth. No heart attack will do it!"

The author of this paragraph was diagnosed with coronary thrombosis. What does "No heart attack will do it" mean here?

You will need to give us the source and author of the passage you quoted before we will be able to help you. This rule applies to any quoted material.

I think it means that a heart attack will not take their life- they would rather take their own life.

And do please give the source.
