I think that it sounds the same.

I mean "\ˈnīt\" in AmE or \naɪt\ in BrE. Am I right?

Is it true that without the context or more additional words, it's impossible to distinguish between these two words?

For example, if I say the name of a topic, poem etc. with this one word

"Knight" or "Night" <- e.g. it is the title of a poem

And you don't know what this poem is about, is it impossible to find out if you are talking about the part of the day or about the a warrior with a sword?

Thanks in advance.

The words are pronounced the same, so naturally your assumptions are correct.
Have a good knight now.

According to Longman Pronunciation Dictionary, the pronunication of Knight is exactly same as that of Night.

knight, K~ [FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]naɪt (= night)
