Is this correct and natural?

Nicole was restless, waiting for something to happen, anything that would bring about change in her life. In a state of constant daze, she waited for the long days to stretch into nights and the long nights to become days. She felt like she was in a perpetual limbo.

One night, she climbed out of the bed to drink. Her mind was enveloped in a fog of sedatives and she wasn't thinking clearly. For a second, she thought about Jack. Her feelings for him had gone missing somewhere in the dark corridors of her psyche. Feeling racked by an expanding emptiness, she fished out a medicine bottle from inside the cabinet and swallowed a dozen pills. She then walked to the bathroom, standing in front of the mirror. She looked like how she felt: a total mess. Her eyes were hollowed out, circled by a dark rim and her black hair was a riot of stray wisps shooting out in different directions. She flashed herself a fake toothy grin and waved herself good-bye.

See above.

You could say she got out of bed and went into the kitchen to get a drink of water (or whatever).

Does she climb both into and out of bed? Is she committing suicide?
