There is a line like this:

My name is Jane, currently working as a store manager of a large retailer.

My question is: is the sentence logically sound? Should it be:

I am Jane, currently working as a store manager of a large retailer. ???

Thank you for your attention.

***NOT A TEACHER*** I prefer your second sentence. The first seems to imply that your name is working as a store manager.

To me, few things sound less "native" than when I read letters that begin "I am Sam Smith,..."

My name is Jane, and I currently work as...

is how I would write this.

You could say:
I am Jane, a store manager currently working for a large retailer.
