My friend A told me that friend B is getting a divorce. I talk to friend B:

Friend A said something about you wanting a divorce but good to know it isn't/wasn't true.

Are both okay?
 
I would add "it's" before good. In this case, I would use the present tense. You are discussing a present reality.
