My father's long illness made him very thin.He became a skeleton.
Can we say such a sentence?I mean is it right to say it this way?
 
Yes. It's understood to be figurative.

I guess something related to my keyboard punctuation.
 
You must put a space after every comma, full stop, question mark and exclamation mark. The only exception to this is if the full stop, question mark or exclamation mark are followed by closing quotation marks or a closing bracket.
