Could you say which one is correct? (Note that the second sentence is an independent, new sentence, not part of the first one, which is why It is capitalized.)
1. My boyfriend was ... It really doesn't matter.
2. My boyfriend was. ... It really doesn't matter
3. My boyfriend was.... It really doesn't matter

Sentence 1 is correct. The ellipsis is correctly spaced and there's a closing punctuation mark.
Sentence 2 is incorrect. There should be no full stop after "was" and there's no closing punctuation mark.
Sentence 3 is incorrect. There's no punctuation mark that consists of four consecutive full stops and there's no closing punctuation mark.

I'd say #1 needs a full stop after the first sentence:

1. My boyfriend was ... . It really doesn't matter.

I can't think of a situation in which I'd need to write those words.

It's more 'correct' to use a closing full stop after the ellipsis at the end of the sentence but I don't usually do it. I think it looks fine without it.
