I ate too much candies.
I ate too much candy.

I think "too much candy" is grammatically correct because "much" is, as opposed to "many", placed before uncountable nouns.
However, I found a song called "Too Much Candies". Also, on the Internet, there are some examples of "too much candies".
While "much candy" is the majority, can "much candies" be used depending on the context or something?
 
Also, DJ Saico, whose name came up for the song, does not appear to be a native speaker of English.
 
One can never have too much candies! ;)
