[Grammar] Most of + plural or singular verb

Hello,

Would you be so kind to tell what verb singular or plural I am supposed to use in next sentence?

"Most research now show/shows that as much as 70% - 80% of human communication may be non-verbal."

"Most research now shows..." Delete "of".
 
I agree with Bhai. The word "most" does not change "research" from singular to plural.

Just to clarify: bhaisahab is referring only to the first "of" in the original sentence. :)
